The Cube is a major, 4,500 sq m
office development for the Kilmartin Property Group located at the top of Leith
Street, Edinburgh. RSP worked on the project with contractors, McAlpine, and
subsequently on the fit out of the top two floors for Glenmorangie.
The low energy consumption of the building was a key commitment of the design team and this was ensured through extensive thermal, daylight and energy modelling throughout the project. The building services consist of four pipe fan coils served from centralised chillers and boiler plant serving each lettable floor space. Lighting is designed to LG7 standards with full lighting control including presence detection and daylight linking to the building perimeter. Each floor plate is sub-divisible in half with metered supplies.   |
