Edinburgh Quay is a new mixed development with office, residentail, retail and leisure development by Edinburgh Quay Ltd: a Miller Developments/British Waterways joint venture in association with Bloc Ltd. The development marks the eastern terminus of the £78m Millennium Link project which will reconnected the canal routes between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The development was over 2 phases and was designed to provide up to 8 restaurant/bar units and approximately 15,000sq.m. (161,000 sq.ft.) of office accomodation. The basement allows for underground servicing of the restaurant/bar units and provides 150 car parking spaces. The building services within the office spaces are provided to meet the requirements of BCO Guide 2000 with comfort cooling, lighting and facilities for under floor power distribution. The design of the restaurant areas includes utility supplies, plant space and associated risers for fit out together with integrated fire alarm systems linked to the management suit.   |
