| RSP Reduce Carbon Footprint |

Through participation in the 2009 CIBSE 100hrs of carbon clean up campaign RSP have succeeded in reducing their carbon emissions by 6% over the same period last year.
This was achieved through raising staff awareness of switching PC’s off in the evening and when leaving the office for extended periods, using natural daylight whenever possible to reduce the need for artificial lighting and limiting temperature settings on the office heat pump system. The result was a 4% reduction in electricity use and a 16% reduction in gas use compared with the same period last year. The total carbon dioxide emissions were reduced from 16.3 tonnes to 15.3 tonnes giving a reduction of 1 tonne of CO2. RSP will continue to work towards reducing our carbon emissions and overall environmental impact in 2010. |
