At the recent 2009 Scottish Green Awards Girvan Community Hospital won through to the top three in the Best Green Hospital category. The ceremony was held in 1st of October 2009 at the Glasgow Science Centre.  The winner of the category was St Johns Hospital, NHS Lothian.
