RSP recently completed the 1st phase of a £30 million upgrade to the central library at George Square. This was part of a 5 year phased upgrade of the library to provide state of the art archival storage to current British Standards and learning resource facilities.
The project involves the provision of new chilled beam installation and state of the art lighting. Archive areas shall have full extinguishant and air conditioning to provide close control temperatures and humidity.
