This new Bio Sciences building is
a new £13.5m, 2000 sq m facility for the University of St Andrews which includes specialist Cat 3
laboratories, write up spaces and offices. The building is to link directly to
the adjacent Purdie building which has specialist active research which
requires the design team to carefully consider interfaces.
The services contain LZC equipment such as CHP. At one point a tri-generation system was considered. The building is set to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding rating.
