Strathallan School is a residential private school
located in the heart of rural Perthshire. RSP were involved in the design of
this new 60 bed girls' dormitory to accommodate the senior girls. The project
included oil fired boilers with LPHW radiators, low energy lighting and a
constant pressure ventilation system.
Low and Zero Carbon (LZC) technologies were considered, however due to constraints on budgets, these were not included in the final design. The LZC technologies considered were a biomass boiler, rain water harvesting and solar water heating panels. The school is now examining a district biomass boiler installation as part of its overall heating strategy.  .png "strathallan (2).png")
