This client is a developer of advanced optical waveguides and processes for optical backplanes and telecom optical component applications RSP was responsible for the design and specification for the fit out of Building 1 and Building 2 of the Terahertz site at Rosebank, Livingston. Building 1 consists of the main administration and management facilities. The building is virtually fully glazed around the perimeter, therefore there had to be particular care take with the selection of radiators and power distribution. The building has no suspended ceiling and the lighting was specified to provide a combination of indirect and direct illuminance via the continuous lighting system.
Building 2 consists of the main process areas. These include Class 10, Class 100 and Class 10,000 cleanrooms. The building was fitted out with process cooling, compressed air, vacuum, process drainage, high quality multi gas systems and DI water plant. |
