RSP were appointed by Kirkintilloch Initiative to provide the design and specification for the proposed new medical and social work facility for the town of Kirkintilloch.

The building was constructed on existing land bordering Main Street next to the miners welfare building.

This was a large development in which GP practices in the area were collocated along with direct NHS Dental and podiatry services on the ground floor and social work and other council services taking the upper floors.

RSP's services included lighting, power, nurse and patient call systems, heating via low NOX high efficiency boilers to low surface temperature radiators in patient areas, a full thermal analysis to ensure control of temperatures by natural ventilation in summer, lighting control, motor room less lift, ventilation heat recovery, energy saving low flush water appliances, security and CCTV.
