RSP provided building services design for this new leisure centre, which comprises a 25 metre, 5 lane level deck swimming pool with variable level floor, multi-purpose games hall, fitness suite and 7-a-side external football pitches. The entrance area incorporates a cafeteria area and changing areas (wet area/dry area and external areas). There are two plant rooms and the ground floor plant room incorporates the main electrical switchgear, hot water storage calorifiers and a 38KVA combined heat and power (CHP) machine providing base heat and electrical requirements. Full BMS control and monitoring is provided with modem link the City of Edinburgh Council to allow remote control.
