Strawsons Ltd employed RSP to provide Building Services design for their inaugural building on the J4/M8 Development park for Scottish Courage.
Scottish Courage as part of their rationalisation of their distribution network selected this park as suitable to locate their regional distribution centre for Scotland and the North of England.
This building being the first on the park required a significant infrastructure to be developed which included HV electrical, water and gas network services.
The building included 12,500 sq.m of Warehouse and 1300 sq.m of offices. The warehouse which is unheated is illuminated and fully protected by fire and security systems. The offices are comfort cooled and illuminated using low glare luminaries. An extensive site wide security system linked to the gatehouse.
