RSP were commissioned by Standard Life Assurance Company to provide Building Services
design for 13,500 sq m of office accommodation for Standard Life Investments.
The project involved the complete refurbishment of six separate buildings
including the grade A listed, 1 George Street. A full floor was dedicated to Dealer
operations.
The cooling installation combined chilled ceilings with chilled beams in conjunction with perimeter heating comprising steel panel radiators. Fan coil units with both heating and cooling were utilised in the listed areas. The complete refurbishment of the existing lifts, installation of new BMS system and a new sprinkler system were also installed. The building resilience included duplicate high voltage feeders supplied from separate sub-stations on the electricity company distribution network. The complete project involved careful co-ordination and sympathetic solutions within the Grade A Listed Georgian building. |
