RSP were appointed by Agilent Technologies to provide Building Services
consultancy to the multi-phased fit-out of their Scottish Headquarters at 4-5
Lochside Avenue, Edinburgh Park.
The building accommodates 150 staff over two floors, consisting of a modern, spacious, fully air conditioned office space with meeting areas, cafe and lounge facilities. Focus was placed at the outset on a cost-effective, sustainable design, with attention to re-use of the existing infrastructure and equipment from the previous installation. The primary source of small power and data within the office space is provided from the existing under-floor electrical infrastructure in the form of floor boxes. The lighting installation was upgraded to provide full presence detection and flexible lighting control in all areas.
