Scottish Court Service
Lanark and Aberdeen Sheriff Courts

These two projects, both valued at £4.5m, formed part of the Scottish Executive requirement to have sustainable court buildings.  Each building was required to achieve a BREEAM rating of Very Good.

Natural ventilation was utilised within all perimeter office areas.  Following a thermal modelling exercise, air conditioning with hunidity control was provided within courtrooms to achieve Scottish Court Services design criteria.  Heat recovery was also introduced via a high efficiency thermal wheel.  Recycling of rain water for flushing of toilets was utilised as an achievable sustainable solution.

LonWorks networking for automatic controls was utilised throughout the M&E services to optimise control applications.  The benefit to the client is a virtually unlimited flexibility to create optimium control networking solutions for any application.
