Lanark and Aberdeen Sheriff Courts These two projects, both valued at £4.5m, formed part of the Scottish Executive requirement to have sustainable court buildings. Each building was required to achieve a BREEAM rating of Very Good. Natural ventilation was utilised within all perimeter office areas. Following a thermal modelling exercise, air conditioning with hunidity control was provided within courtrooms to achieve Scottish Court Services design criteria. Heat recovery was also introduced via a high efficiency thermal wheel. Recycling of rain water for flushing of toilets was utilised as an achievable sustainable solution. LonWorks networking for automatic controls was utilised throughout the M&E services to optimise control applications. The benefit to the client is a virtually unlimited flexibility to create optimium control networking solutions for any application. ![]()
