Dumfries Royal Infirmary, NHS Dumfries and Galloway
The installation for NHS Dumfries & Galloway of a 1.6 MW biomass boiler was completed in 2007.

The wood chip store was installed in the ground and lined with precast panels. It has a concrete roof and hydraulic doors to allow delivery lorries to drive over and discharge directly into the store.

Within the augers, an Archimedes type screw is installed in each chamber.  Access chambers are fitted along the auger and one panel is fully removable to allow additional access.

The boiler installation was unusual in that it was assembled and wired on site including the insulation and installation of the boiler casing.
