BREEAM Assessments

BREEAM is the BRE (Building Research Establishment) Environmental Assessment Method.  It measures the environmental performance of a building throughout its life.

A BREEAM assessment rates a building project on the environmental and sustainability aspects of the construction and design.  The BREEAM score is a percentage which correlates to a rating of outstanding, excellent, very good, good or pass.  A score of 85% or more achieves the highest rating of outstanding.  A BREEAM assessment can be carried out on a new or existing building.

A high BREEAM rating will add value to a project as it differentiates buildings with a higher environmental performance.  It shows that a building is ahead of current regulations and improves health and well being of occupants.  Running costs are reduced and some local authorities and funding organisations now require a BREEAM assessment or similar for new large developments.

ImageRSP has a team of qualified and licensed BREEAM assessers who can provide pre assessments, full assessments or simply advise on which aspects could be improved in order to achieve a higher rating.
