Energy Assessors
RSP now have a team of accredited energy assessors who can provide Energy Performance Certficates (EPC's) in Scotland as well as in England and Wales where this requirement of the European Union Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EU EPBD) is being phased in over the coming year.
In Scotland EPC's are now required on construction of all new buildings and on the 4th of January 2009 they will be required on sale or rental for all domestic and non-domestic buildings.  Large public buildings will all require an EPC on display by the 4th of January 2009.

In England and Wales EPCs will be required on construction, sale or rental of all domestic and non-domestic buildings by October 2008 but the requirements are being phased in over the year according to the floor area of the building.
Display energy certificates will be required for all large public buildings by October 2008.

Please see the article on timetables for the introduction of Energy Performance Certificates for more detailed information.
