RSP Consulting Engineers

On April 1st, Ian Rogers became a partner of RSP Consulting Engineers and this was no ordinary promotion.  Twenty years earlier, when it was first established, Ian joined the firm as an apprentice.  He has since worked his way up through the ranks, becoming an Associate in 1998 and his career progression culminated this year when he was made a partner.

At the same time, Tony McMahon, David V Murray, Craig Dickson and Norman Keddie were promoted to Associates, while Iain Coull, Ross Leask and Neil Scanlon became Senior Engineers.

Commenting on these promotions, Robert Dunn, Founding Partner said, "Ian's rise through the firm has been impressive and demonstrates the support RSP gives to staff who are loyal and committed to us.  We are also delighted to welcome our other colleagues to the management team.  RSP has expanded the scale and scope of our projects in recent years and to continue to deliver an excellent service to clients we need a robust management structure in place."

RSP has a new home in Glasgow just off the M8 and not far from the city centre.  On 29th May RSP's Glasgow office relocated to 3 Seaward Place, Centurion Business Park, which is a relatively new development, occupied by other commercial and professional companies.
 
The Glasgow office now employs 10 people plus 2 students and they were starting to find their previous office at the Pentagon Centre a tight squeeze. As Owen McNee, Partner, explains, "We only intended to stay a short time at The Pentagon Centre, but, as usually happens, you get absorbed in projects and don't have enough time to look for alternative accommodation.  We needed more space but also, given that we were spending a lot of time and money developing a new brand and website, it seemed like the ideal opportunity to make the move.
 
The new office is open plan, which makes for great team working, it is easily accessible by public transport, which suits our environmental policy and our staff are happy here.  We look forward to welcoming clients here in the future.
